I was hoping they were gonna do a late in the game switch and have Dexter kill Travis at the church, and move on to the intern with the hand. Which is how bad this season is, that I wanted them to abandon everything in the final episodes and just try a new one.

The intern is awesome. It seems like he went through a career change just to make sure the ebay auction he won went off without a hitch. I loved how he used "Internet protocol numbers" to track someone and other cops were like "You can do that?!!!"

It's Miami Metro Police dept. There haven't been a bunch of incompetent cops like this since Reno 911.

I don't know that I have ever wanted a season to end more than I do this one. Jesus, it makes me wish Lumen was still around.

...and I pay for this shit. I don't regularly subscribe to Showtime. I just get it when Dexter is on.

Am I the only one who wanted the "wormwood" to go off and kill the entire Miami Metro Police department so they can start over fresh with just Dexter?

I can't believe they made the brother & sister/ former husband & wife thing even weirder and more awkward.
Also the expression Hanks uses to paint Dexter as the beast was hilarious. He looks so bored.

I agree. But that's saying very little.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/12/dexter-michael-c-hall-on-_n_1141920.htmlQ: The audience recently learned that Gellar [Olmos] has been dead all along. Was that twist planned from the beginning, or did it come up as the writing went on?
A: There are certainly story lines over the course of the season that weren't quite anticipated, or morphed. But in that case, we knew all along that he was a figment of Travis' imagination.
Q: So if we watch all the episodes again, frame by frame, will we see hints at it? I can't believe these people exist who didn't see it.

I can't believe they made the brother & sister/ former husband & wife thing even weirder and more awkward.
I wonder if, while she was in the process of divorcing Michael C. Hall, the actress who plays Deb wondered if she should stay on the show. And I wonder if, when she decided to stay, she thought to herself, "It's no big deal. It's not like I'll ever have to do any romantic scenes with him."
