Ugh.  I don't get it...how hard is it to make a cool Batsuit that's faithful to the comics?  This is just bad.

I like it.  For some reason it kinda reminds me of TRON.

My favorite suit in a BATMAN movie was the BATMAN RETURNS one.  It was all ridged and whatnot.

Like so. This suit reminds me of the new one.

There is lots of little hints at RETURNS in the new pictures and stuff coming out.

I don't know if it's intentional, but I will think it is.

i agree with you on that, lynch. "returns" had the best batsuit, but this is ok. it makes sense. it looks like each piece is functional. and, it looks like under armour made it, but i am willing to forgive.

This one's fine, I like the cowl and ears being a little more subtle this time around.

Buuuuuut, what is with the engraved strips of armor all over the suit?  They all are kinda stupid.

All I meant was that I'm not a fan of the tech-armor look.  But thanks.

That's what I don't like, either.  I liked the smoother look of the BEGINS suit in that regard.

I'm not sharing the love for this newer suit. To me it looks like the last-twenty-minutes-of-Batman Forever suit, only now with a matte finish.

I don't like it or hate it. How's that for choosing a side?

I like that his head can move though.  That has bothered me since '89.

His head could move in the last one though.

I couldn't really tell because ever thing was zoomed in so tight and dark that I thought I was watching coverage outtakes.

I dunno, this suit seems a bit too needlessly complicated. I prefer a more streamlined look. This thing looks like he's going to fight the Joker in outer space.

Don't forget we'll probably never see Batman that well lit during the movie. The suit will look less busy when it's always half covered in shadows.

Writing this made me realize something that was always in my mind. I don't love the new Batman reboot so much because it's so so.... BROWN. It's Brown, the whole movie is brown with ocher highlights, It's the color of rust. whereas BATMAN 1989 was obviously black. Batman and Robin was a bucketful of confetti and  glitter.
