Fine by me, dudes.
Although HAUNTED MANSION: SCARY HOUSEHOLD would've been sweet.

I hope they make a fourth pirates movie, with Gore Verbinski and Depp and maybe Wright but little else from the other ones.

Yeah. They did a good job of not overdoing Jack Sparrow. So I think a solo Depp movie would be cool.

I would have skipped this movie in a heartbeat, but the Bruno inclusion has taken that option off the table. At least it looks to be more of a reboot than a sequel. I barely even saw Channing Tatum in there.

Still no Cobra Commander ?
He's glimpsed in the trailer. It's possible that Ray Stevenson (his character has a name, but does it matter?) is looking at President Zartan and that shield-faced guy is a fancy-uniformed Cobra henchman, but I doubt it.

I almost don't want to even watch the movie. Like "Good enough guys!" "But Nate we made a full movie" "I said... that was good enough!"

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Channing Tatum was not an insignificant presence in that trailer. And the "evil President" thing is a direct continuation of Cobra's evil plot in the first film, so it's definitely not a reboot so much as a tone shift. I almost don't want to even watch the movie. Like "Good enough guys!" "But Nate we made a full movie" "I said... that was good enough!"
I know exactly what you mean!

I hope Tatum isn't one of the Joes killed in that attack. I will cry.

Looks like good fun, and well done to anyone who remembers what happened in the first film. I know that there was a submarine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and also maybe the Eiffel Tower got blown up, but that's about it.
ALSO, let's see if this DIY spoiler-text works so I can spill some hot GI Joe goss.
I heard Sgt. Slaughter might be making a cameo, which would be the best.

I watched it on an iPhone, so maybe I just missed him (well, I wouldn't say I missed him, zing), but I thought he was only glimpsed once or maybe twice, and it was otherwise all-Rock. And you're talking to someone who remembers the headache he had after watching Part 1 much more vividly than the movie itself, so I have no recollection of any evil President plot. I believe you, though, because it sounds idiotic, which seems about right. All I know is there's almost no one from the first film in this one, so even with some story carry-over, that smacks of a do-over to me. Which is a good thing.

Yeah, it looks like Channing Tatum, The President, Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes are the only returning characters. Well, Cobra Commander too, but I don't think Levitt is doing his voice.
