Whatever. Nice Doc Hollywood avatar. Do you hold a writer's workshop afterhours at the Blockbuster you work at?

I think it's weird how he can be so insulting to Hollywood in general but then super nice to my Doc Hollywood avatar.

I just wanted to offer sincerest congrats to Brian for landing this project.

This is a sweet gig in what's turning into a long and consistent line of sweet gigs.

My head stopped exploding somewhere between Spike and Angel (now, now).  This isn't a matter of you being the luckiest guy on the block so much as it is the right guy for the right job.

Like the 2pac song goes "That's just the way is issssss...."

Bruce Hornsby, man.

Well, yeah.  I just sound more badass quoting 2pac then Bruce Hornsby.  And I need all the help I can get in the badass department.

Like, I'd look like a dork if I was like "Well, you know how that Steve Winwood song goes..."  Ya know?

Pretty cool, congrats.

Sounds very interesting, a comedy set in the Matrix basically. It could be like The Truman Show by way of Tron. I'll be definitely checking that out, one point towards that international box office.

Also, it's a scientific fact that any person that uses "pwn" in their username without any sort of irony is probably 14 and retarded or someone pretending to be 14 and retarded.

I think my favorite thing to come of this so far is the VA Board's gullibility in believing in a $40 mil. BHD remake...

That's some funny stuff....

I want soup and a phonebook in the sequel to Fork.

There's justification for it, soup was noticeably absent in the original.

Ooooh oooooh can I do a sequel to Fork as long as its written by Sims Screenplay writer Brian Lynch.

To be honest Brian I can understand the silliness one would think of when one hears the title "Sims: The Movie" but I'm sure if anyone can make it fun and entertaining it would be you.

So let that Leetpwner or whatever his name is make his indie crap and you just make us glad theres someone like you doing Hollywood proud.

I seem to remember people making fun of the concept of a little movie called PIRATES OF THE CARRIBAN when it was announced.  "A movie based on a theme park ride??"

Of course it was released to critical praise and boffo box office.  I, for one, can't wait for THE SIMS.

Congrats Brian!  I'm excited to see how this project develops...should be a lot of fun in your hands!

As for all the fanboy rants, you know how I feel about that.  It makes no sense when people jump to conclusions on a project right when its announced.  I'm sure you'll be stuffing all their faces with crow sooner than later.

I still say a theme park ride movie will never work!

But I'm like everybody else here, I'd love to see a Brian Lynch movie.

"Live Action"?
So will the actors be made to look digitized or computerized a'la the old duracell commercials and Primus's Big Brown Beaver?

Sounds interesting at the least.  I only wish we could have a "Bionic Commando" the movie.

I hate to double post, but I saw the high post count and couldn't help but to backread.  I guess every board has to have the cliche' asshole, but usually said asshole is either funny, has valid points, or some tact.  However, I did enjoy the legolas/jordy comments.  It seems that legolas has fled the boards, hopefully for good.  I also enjoyed the post that stated that Sundance is too commercial.

Crank had an effect where everyone looked like a videogame, they kinda smoothed out all the surfaces (the skin a little less). Maybe it would work for the sims.
