I hope he's an MMA fighter. Which is what became of Jonathan Lipnicki; he's like some Brazillian Jiu-jitsu master, now.

All this talk makes me wonder whatever happened to the "Star Wars Nerd" kid.

I guess he's a lawyer now: http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/03/the-star-wars-kid-is-back-and-hes-going-to-be-a-lawyer/

Here's me, when I looked like that kid who tried to sell encyclopedias on TV.

Brilliant.

My 19th birthday, rocking the jean jacket. I had two pitchers of sangria and fell asleep in a bush.

Yeah, I likes to party.

Wow. I have no pictures of me playing Rock Band, but the amount of cool you FEEL is probably inversely proportional to the amount of cool you actually have, in any given playing session.

I'm sure a bunch of you have seen this before, but when I was in high school, I was in a anti-drug health brochure that went out across the country. That in itself is nerdy, but if you look closely, you can see that it was shot during the period of my life where I would dress like Michael Jackson in the video for "The Way You Make Me Feel."  Meaning, ponytail... single long front strand, and I dunno if you can see it, but black pants (floods), white socks and black shoes.

Here's the whole sequence....

Oh, that's not Rock Band. That's Guitar Hero II, at the newest. It might even be Guitar Hero 1.

And I can assure you that it's absolutely an inversely proportional relationship. I had no memory of the photo when they showed it to me, so I can only assume I'm literally passing out.

Aaaaand I just noticed the Apple sticker. Yuck.

I think my senior portrait means I win this thread no matter what.

I could've given you a run for your money if I hadn't wisely eschewed photos at the relevant time.

As a guy who letters comics every now and then, these pages offend me. The only silver lining is they didn't go with Comic Sans.

That is the most low impact bad-consequence of drugs pamphlet I've ever seen.

The whole project was pretty shoddy.  I look at the photos and I wonder why they let us wear our own wardrobe, as I blend into the background in most shots.

That is the most low impact bad-consequence of drugs pamphlet I've ever seen.

There were like 4 scenarios, and this was the "Weed is bad" one.  There was also "Drinking is bad" "Steroids are bad" and "Coke is bad."  But the main theme of the project was to "Take Charge" and just say no, even if it looks cool.  But like you said, none of them had any reason why you should.  Like the coke one, the guy with the drugs was a coke dealer and had a fly ass car and a pimp suit.  And it ended like "Y'know, it's just not for me."

The National Guard was the main sponsor. You'd think they'd hire a better agency.

Weed doesn't come off so bad there. They spend a page talking about how dreamy Jeff is, there's a lot of stuff about pizza, the evil ethnic JOSE (awesome!) introduces some pot, and the little brother wonders momentarily if his sister is into bad stuff, then she assures him that she is not. Cut to a lady in a field in a smart blazer telling you YOU CAN DO IT! Absolutely nothing bad happens!
