This is pretty awesome. I like the "Boom."

I did not know he was a Doogie Howser. Or that he changed his name from Satchel. Both of those things are great. He also looks like an Aryan uber-mensch, which is kind of ironic.

He got his mom's looks and his dad's smarts.

Satchel to Ronan is a lateral move.

Is he the kid that Mia Farrow lied about and said Woody Allen had molested?

I think she said that about the girl, Dylan, as I recall.  She didn't really say "molested" she more said he acted strangely and inappropriately with her.

Hm after looking it up it does seem that Farrow claimed that Woody actually molested Dylan.  Not sure what to think about that.  I don't know that it's generally accepted that Mia Farrow "lied", but the judge couldn't find enough evidence that it happened.

I can retract the "lied" part if it bothers you.  It could just be one of those "bring up the worst possible thing that you think might maybe be true at a custody battle" things.  Unlike having sex with inappropriately young girls, it would seem to be an anomaly in his life if it were true.

Knowing what you know about Woody Allen, how is it a stretch to think he may have been inappropriate?

Psychologically, there's a difference between having sex with underage pubescent girls and pedophilia.

I dunno. Once someone falls down and begin breaking taboos, do they have a mindset that asks, "well, what ARE the rules, now? What ELSE can I re-examine? Who am I now?"

I mean, this is a guy that was taking nudie pictures of a younger-than-her-years-looking daughter. And as you pointed out, the theme of the VERY young student at a high school being the romantic figure for an older, neurotic man had been going on in his work since she was in her teens. So what mother *wouldn't* assume the worst might be possible?

If the rule is "the heart wants what the heart wants," anything is possible.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, no. "I was attracted to a girl who was sexually mature but not of-age and acted on it, so now let's see if I also enjoy molesting young boys?" Big stretch there.

This isn't to say I'm somehow justifying his relationship with Soon-Yi. Far from it. But there is a rather wide gulf between the two transgressions.

He wasn't accused of molesting young boys. It was the other adopted daughter, Dylan. Under the circumstances, I can understand the fear on Farrow's part that it could be possible.

Oh, fuck me, I didn't realize Dylan was a girl.

Pre- and post-puberty is still a pretty huge distinction psychologically.
