I think they're the reason auto-tune was invented.  Also a great idea on Youtube's part to have a MAGIC MIKE preview before it starts.

I notice that the thing kids do now is acoustic covers of terrible youtube sensations. I'm not sure which is more annoying.

The acoustic covers.  By far.*

* - I say this having done acoustic covers on youtube myself, but they aren't "ironic." They're genuine.  Where every one of those I see thinks it should get clever points with a wink at the camera.

Speaking of un-ironic acoustic covers, I've been listening to Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years" as performed by Ryan Adams off and on all day.

That is AWESOME.  Thank you for this.

Here's Ryan Adams doing a cover of 'Black Sheets of Rain' by Bob Mould.  Also pretty good.  The actual song starts at about the 2:40 mark.

And here's me doing 'I'm Sorry Baby But You Can't Stand in My Light Anymore' by Bob Mould.

It's all cyclical...

Good stuff, Nate!  I like it.

I'm trying to find my Lady Gaga cover.  I may have deleted it.  But here's me and a comedian pal, Sam Demaris messing about and doing 'Red House' for a crowd of about 5.

Don't really know the song---never got into Iron Maiden---but that was really cool.  Adams' cover of "Wonderwall" gets me every time.  I even wrote it specifically into something I'm working on now.
