The EMP in Seattle (basically a big ol' rock museum) has a room full of little booths, each with a bass, guitar, or drum set.  The coolest part is that they are very beginner friendly; the guitars self-tune and the fretboard lights up to show you all the notes/scales you need to play over one of like twenty backing tracks.  It's a lot like this.  And completely awesome.  Like going to the Museum of Natural History and getting to ride a dinosaur.

Where's the Kickstarter for that?

"Why don't you just learn how to play a real instrument? God!!!!"

Remember those people? Fuck em, I've been rediscovering Rock Band 3 lately, and it's great fun and completely different from what actually goes into playing an instrument for real.

I can't wait until Rock Band fatigue fades and we all start playing it at parties again in a few years.

Chopstick ChiliDog still rocks until the early am almost every Saturday night. Our only issue now is that it takes us around twenty minutes to agree on a song.

Tim Seeley and friends are making mini-comics for ridiculous toy lines that never actually existed.  Brilliant!  And yes, actual action figures are one of the rewards.

My favorite is "Dracula Man".
