My friend Eric wrote this film and he's one of the nicest guys I know. One of those guys who's just so good at being funny and genuine that you're guaranteed to have a Woody-Buzz "as a matter of fact you're TOO cool" moment at some stage. His last name is Stolze. His name is therefore phonetically the same as Eric Stoltz. I've never brought this up so I don't know if it bothers him.

It was just "Shakey" before. Somewhere it became "I Heart Shakey".

The director, Kevin, was one of my teachers. He taught a class on pitching, among a billion other things. During the last strike he'd call up writers and put them on speaker in class. "Hey Paul? Tell these kids about SKY HIGH. What else are you doing?" He was also a writer-wrangler on ARMAGEDDON, making sure those thirty writers were on task, so he has interesting opinions on certain writers who've bloomed since then.

He also runs the "practicum", a program to have students ply their chosen trades on school-funded shorts, one of which I wrote. Which was nice. These shorts usually suck, but it's good training for students who might otherwise never learn how to deal with conflicting creative partners.

Yeah, it's 3D. Shot that way too. Apparently there's a school cafeteria custard pie fight in 3D, which makes me curious about why a cafeteria has custard pies.

I shared the link on Facebook.

Kevin messaged me, thanking me and asking what I was up to. Made him sad that I wasn't writing. Made me sad that I made him sad on I Heart Shakey Trailer day.

Eric just said not to look forward to it, and added "I mean I already have a viewing party planned, but its only guest is rum."

I don't think I want to make movies anymore.

Though I do love how bored the main dog is the entire trailer.
