Are you pretending like this wouldn't be a great idea? Six thousand times quicker refills on Ice Tea.
With the Jordy non-firing policy, these waitresses will be pouring your ice tea onto your plate of dinner, which is comprised entirely of condiments.

Cutting the extra writers loose may even have been a condition of the season two pick up. Scaling back the budget, anyway.
He probably doesn't want to have yet another show canceled partly because it's one of the most expensive shows on TV.
Or he's a dick. Which we already sort of knew.

Nobody has ever accused Aaron Sorkin of not being a dick.

I imagine super Fart-with-a-beard punching his way out from under a dock with an ultra high pitched laugh.

Jordy is David Addison and Brian is Maddie Hayes.
And Brandon is the guy who STILL DOESN'T GET THIS REFERENCE.

I think all the "Moonlighting" references on this board have put me off ever watching "Moonlighting".

I remember when they told Sylvia Plath, "Hey, Syl, cheer up!" I remember when they told e. e. cummings, "e, baby; use caps!" But did ol' e listen? No. Little n. Little o.

Don't be that way. This same dynamic kept me from the British OFFICE for way too long. But the reference was because Maddie always wanted to fire the extra and useless staff at Blue Moon, but David kept them on as a rabble to be an audience for him.
