RIP Davy Jones

I still remember back when Nickelodeon's line-up was old TV shows and imports from Canada, and the Monkees had an afternoon block, I think at 4 or 5pm.  I never missed those shows.  My best friend went to see them in concert in '87 and I was so envious of him.

It kinda saddened me that coworker of mine who's only 5 years younger than me had never heard of the Monkees.

I don't know why but whenever I think of The Monkees, I always flash back to that episode of Boy Meets World they all popped up in singing My Girl.

Oh yeah!  I remember that episode.  Peter Tork was Topanga's Dad, right?  Did they also do Full House?  I know they did another family show on ABC but I can't remember exactly which one.

I remember him on My Two Dads.  Was that it?  I don't think the other Monkees were though.

I remember this episode.  The daughter cane home with Davy Jones, who I guess took her to a party of some sort.  Davy's character was friends with the bearded dad so this was okay, I guess.  The girl says "I got to have my first glass of champagne!".  The audience "ooooo"ed and bearded dad sent her to her room and him and Davy had a fight.  Davy was all "this ain't groovy, man" "you're being very ungroovy" or something like that.
