It's awkward rapping with vague politics from a guy that magically becomes black. Literally the whole thing is this. Are white people afraid to say this is terrible or something?
DerickA is the only thing keeping me sane here.

I think stuffy "think-of-the-children" white people would be the first to say such a thing is terrible, and loudly. Bulworth works, though. It's very well-written.

Never watched Bulworth, and only because of that damned Ghetto Superstar song. Dumb reason to not watch a movie, but man that song still grates on my nerves. Bulworth, added to my queue.

That's so silly. It's been a while but I remember the politics of the movie being fairly pointed. I would say in some ways it started my transformation from being pretty conservative to whatever it is I am now. I think Ari Huffington says the same thing about it.

Bulworth should have rapped about how the Ghostbusters were throwing a party for a bunch of children while all the while the slime was under the building, so Derick could get on board.

I'm pleased. "Ghetto Supastar" has a bit of sentimental value for me because it was #2 in Ireland when I visited home in 1998. Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" was #1. Both songs are time machines for me.

Terrified. What we aren't afraid to do is not see it. And if the not-really-that-vague politics are the problem for you, you are not going to like most of the movies that come out in the next two years. Are you guys counting BLOOD SIMPLE? Doesn't count.

Hate: Sphere, Krippendorf's Tribe, Chairman of the Board, The Man in the Iron Mask,, Woo, Avengers, Wrongfully Accused, Urban Legend, Strangeland, Holy Man, Belly

I felt the same way about MALIBU'S MOST WANTED.

If it wasn't for a cute girl asking me to take her to see Godzilla (1998), I would have never watched it in protest of Puffy sampling Zeppelin (and Zeppelin letting Puffy sample their music) . I was a complete music snob back in college. Unfortunately, I am probably still a music snob.

I wish I could find the column Huffington wrote about the movie when it came out. She sums up what was great about it better than I ever could. I think Dobbin could too, if he were so inclined.

The BULWORTH soundtrack is pretty great. Heh, Dalton's political views were changed by lines like "Taxpayers taxpayers take it in the REAR!"

The BULWORTH soundtrack is pretty great.
It's the jam, it's the jam, it's the jam, it's got groove, it's got feeling. Used to love me some black eyed peas.

Actually, if I recall, Diddy (nee Puff Daddy) didn't technically sample Zeppelin. Jimmy Page played him a newly recorded part for the song. No?
Also, it's pretty ironic to complain about Zeppelin getting sampled -- half of their catalogue belongs to Willie Dixon.
Now let's all sit back and bemoan the heroes we idolized in our youth as, alternatively, RIPPED OFF and/or SELL-OUTS!!!
