Yeah - the Bond movies are only distributed by MGM, right? As evidenced by their recent bankruptcy?

No. If that were the case Eon could have just found a new distributer. MGM owns the Bond rights. Sony actually has distributed the last few because MGM hasn't been able to do it themselves.

Do you consider the Potter movies British movies too? Eon was started by Broccoli, an american.

He smoked a stodgey old pipe. I saw PICTURES.

I'd run THE AVENGERS tonight, but I figure a night's sleep will do me better. It'll be the same film in a few days.

What would you do in my position?

I'd kidnap you and then run THE AVENGERS tonight.

Oh, you meant *your* position, not *my* position. Never mind.

You can't stop the signal, true believer.

On the other hand, a good night's sleep really does go a long way towards being of sound mind and a general sense of well being on the morrow.

GOD BLESS AMERICA new!

-------------------------------

I don't even know what to say. Joel Murray was great, though.

It's got a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes (no top critics though, so...)

Finally a hand is extended to the Mexican geek, right now is not that bad with event movies. but things like Scott Pilgrim took a RIDICULOUS amount of time to get here, some still haven't gotten here.

Also globalization is a bitch, Corporations don't have nationalities, they only care about the red in the ledger.

They probably care about the black a little more.  Cause that's, you know, the profit one.

Falconi was doing something sneaky with that red/ledger comment.

I don't know if this counts as an AVENGER spoiler or not, but it made me happy.

SORT OF SPOILER MAYBE? NOT PLOT RELATED: WARNING

Apparently, the North American release is different than the one seen over seas and in ANY of the advance screenings. There is an extra ending that they filmed the day after the World Premiere that the major actors were called back to do. So essentially, there are TWO different end credit stingers. So glad we get to keep SOMETHING special about seeing it at midnight.

Yeah, we were told at the screening that there would be two extra scenes during the credits and there was only one. I guess the actual theatrical release will have an extra button at the very end. I've already read what it is and it sounds funny. Haha-funny, not weird-funny.

Indeed he was. I owe him a... congratulatory punch in the arm.
