I guess that's what I would say too, had I talked myself into a corner.
You know what? You proved me wrong, I actually was more annoyed by the scene in 'Wanderlust'. Thanks for setting me straight!

So please forgive the intrusion everyone. And commence the engaging process of listing things you like about stuff, being careful to never agree nor disagree with anything anyone else says because such things can only be arrived at through one's own worthwhile, correct and unchangebale initial opinion.
This is the dorkiest fight ever.

In summation: Strang was being kind of a jerk, and sean was being kind of an LpF.

Yes, but you do not see that there is plenty Lpf in Strang as well.

I've been lazy on my list so far, but man I loved John Carter, It was everything the prequel trilogy should have been. Thrilling, seamless effects, and reliance on story/characterization.
I wish the trailers focused more on something other than the last chunk of the flick, 'cause it's so much more than a recreation of the arena scene in Clones.
I don't know if it was on purpose, but I also liked how Stanton included Daryl Sabara and Jon Favreau in the flick. I took at it as a sign of respect for the versions Robert Rodriguez and Favs attempted.

The Raid: Redemption new The Grey
A SWAT team breach a tenement building full of baddies to take down a crime lord, but soon realize they're outmatched and alone.
Right, that's pretty much the plot, and it doesn't really build on that any further, besides a few cliche bits to give it a tidy ending. It's your standard DTV Lundgren/Seagal fare. Where The Raid does succeed is in its hand-to-hand combat sequences, and they're all brutal, dirty and brilliant to watch. The speed of the performers, and the amazing precision you'd need to make it look that good, is just fantastic. Director Gareth Evans drops a few bits here and there that demonstrate he does understand symbolism and subtle character development, but just wanted to make a straightforward brawl-filled action flick, and he wisely shoots the fight sequences from far back enough, and for long enough edits, that we can see the skill of everyone involved. He has another film in the planning stages with the same all-Indonesian cast and crew, and if it's as loaded with action as this, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

21 JUMP STREET CHRONICLE WANDERLUST HAYWIRE PROJECT X GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE FRIENDS WITH KIDS NEW THE DEVIL INSIDE A THOUSAND WORDS NEW THE GREY THIS MEANS WAR
-----------------
Don’t let that amazing cast fool you. FRIENDS WITH KIDS is a Katherine Heigl movie. So many funny people in it and yet it’s somehow completely devoid of functional humor or charm. Jennifer Westfeldt must be a super nice lady to have convinced all of these people to take part in this predictable hogwash.
A THOUSAND WORDS closely follows the playbooks of GROUNDHOG DAY and (especially) LIAR LIAR, but doesn’t work at all. For starters, its premise doesn’t really make sense. How is being forced to be mute supposed to make someone learn to stop being a jerk? And why is someone (especially if they’re played by Eddie Murphy) not being able to speak supposed to be funny? There’s a pretty big comedic difference conceptually between a guy being forced to tell people the unvarnished truth and a guy bugging out his eyes and playing charades. On top of that, the movie is unbearably schmaltzy, and the tree idea is bonkers (especially a ridiculous side joke about how anything that happens to the tree also happens to Murphy). Still, I’m a little surprised that it sat on the shelf for so long. Murphy’s made worse movies than this that didn’t have any trouble getting released. And Clark Duke helps a bit.

Every time an Eddie Murphy comedy comes out, I hope for the best. But it always ends up terrible. So frustrating.
I had even higher hopes for Friends With Kids. So much so that I'm not going to write it off based on just your review, even though I tend to respect your opinions on movies.

I think THIS MEANS WAR is worse, and more annoying. And THE GREY was seriously boring to me.

Is Eddie Murphy really a jerk in it, though? His mortal sin is cheating his way through a coffee line.
