I'm hoping, like the article says, they go for a tounge in cheek type movie esspecially with Hornswoggle attached. The second I read "WWE remake of Leprecaun" I knew it would star Hornswoggle. I just hope they don't try to play it as a serious horror movie, I don't care how much makeup you put on him, I just won't be able to take Hornswoggle seriously. By the way, slightly off topic, but WWE has a film division that while it's doing better now has on a whole been rough (with The Marine 3 being the worst selling WWE Film ever, yeah The Miz is a draw) . So why haven't they made the logical movie for them, a wrestling movie yet? And I'm talking more in the line of The Wrestler and less Ready To Rumble. I know Vince would never OK a wrestling movie with wrestlers using drugs but there's plenty of dramatic stories that can be worked into a wrestling movie. Wasn't there a rumor of somebody wanting to do a movie on Foley using his first book as the basis? Why not do that? It's a great, uplifting story and Mick is about the most clean cut wrestler ever. It just seems like there's a bunch of potential there for a good wrestling movie and the WWE has all the resources to make it.

OK, I am sorry and I stand corrected. That's what I get for getting my info from Scott Keith and not doing research on it myself.
Having said that, maybe Miz can shoot off into a movie career and do decent. Honestly I don't see him doing what The Rock did but I think he could play a decent number 2 (bad guy or good guy). But when it comes to wrestling, I stand by my statement, he's not going to draw much. He comes out to a small pop (cheers), wrestling fans (and not just wrestling nerds like myself) find his act annoying and for a guy who main evented a WrestleMania really hasn't done anything of note in the three years since (right now he's in a mid card fued over dancing or something). The most recent thing of any note he did was have Ric Flair in his corner a couple of times. Then with Flair in his corner he went on to totally screw up putting on the figure four leg lock (that's kinda sacreligious to wrestling fans).
Can I ask, why do you like The Miz? You're not a wrestling fan and while he was entertaining on Real World he didn't do anything to blow me away.

I thought he was fine of the Real World/Road Rules challenges but I was just curious if he really was in the least selling WWE movie of all time, so I looked it up.
I also found out that the part wasn't written for him. It was written for someone named Randy Orton who they discovered was discharged from the army for weird reasons so they couldn't have him play a noble marine. They didn't have time to rewrite it for the Miz. Poor dude. BUT Miz is getting a second movie from the WWE and ABC Family, and it's a Christmas one so everyone celebrate!

Oof. Getting anything from Scott Keith other than a recommendation for a good all-you-can-eat buffet is asking for trouble.

It's a low bar. But some of the deaths are creative at least.
