My wife found my old computer, and along with lots of pictures and whatnot, are a lot of old movie scripts, including the ANGRY NAKED PAT movie script. It's quite fun. Couldn't do it now, as it involves a lot of George W. Bush, and because the animated ANPs just don't seem to work out, but it's a good read. Maybe I'll post pieces of it later.

I think I still have a hard-copy in a box in the basement.

That's great. Id love to read some (or all) of that. I guess by "not work out" it's the resources? 'Cause if's one of my favorite projects that you've done.

The resources are there, that is not a problem. But they take a long time to animate (Bob has, at most, one man helping him on these, which is crazy and a testament to how great Bob is at this) and the view counts weren't that great.

Bob is a marvel, I have friends that worship his politcal work alone, it blows thier minds to see the Pat stuff.
That's a shame it's not viable, ever consider releasing a disc of the new/old stuff? That could keep the machine running. If you sold as many copies as your lowest views, you'd still have a decent return. I mean, thats how I keep my web show running. We aren't swimming in cash, but we don't lose money, and it helps that we love doing it. Finish Short Bus as an exclusive?

A DVD collection would be awesome; just to see all the stuff that exists already in one spot, on a TV. All those shorts gather together into something approaching a long.
And, I gotta think, commentaries would be just as fun as the shorts themselves.

There will be one more ANP cartoon in March, wrapping up the cat story that was started in 1978. There won't be a collected DVD thing on account of no one wants it. I appreciate that you do, and I certainly would, but the truth is, the ANP cartoons never really caught fire.

Can't you just make your own, then, and we'll buy it directly from you? Nero Vision (or whatever the DVD creator that comes with Nero is called) is really great. You can make your own animated menus and everything.
Do it manufacture on demand, like Warner Archive style!

I don't really want to, though. The demand would be low, it's a lot of work so 10 people can have one? I'd rather try something else.

But I really don't want to do that. Not sure how the thread turned into this, but I don't want to collect them at this point.

What else would it have turned into?

Allow me to take it in its only other logical direction: Can I have a copy of the script?
