Tremendous indeed. I just reread last week's too and I so love that first panel of Girl Daughter in the deer.
Still great seeing Variant back, especially with such a different persona. Can't wait to see what comes next. (Here's hoping for more Shark With Fists. I love him so much more than I thought I would)

Chicken Zombie's getup is obviously meant to invoke Dark Knight Returns-era Batman, which is great for pairing with Girl Daughter (and was probably foreshadowing in last week's strip, but I missed that). Not only that, though, to me it looks specifically like Bat-Mite. As in, The Dark Mite Returns. Especially with the squiggle on his chest. Purposeful?
