That's awesome man!

Question, though: What's a micro-series? I've never heard that term before outside of a run of toy cars.

Really excited!  Each Turtle gets his own issue (hence "micro series").  Raph (already written) is first.  I think Mikey is next.
It's not goofy, funny turtles.  Well, not overly funny.  There are funny moments, for sure.

Did you pitch them, or did they come to you?

Again... awesome news, brother.

Can't wait! I really like the cover art, it has like a Batman looking over Gotham feel to it. Also it kind of looks like Ralph is giving the middle finger with his sai.

I'll stop in this week!

I won an ashcan comic for the first issue of the series with the four of them from the Ninja Pizza website.  It looks REALLY cool.  I'm so happy that there's going to be GOOD Turtle comics again.  The Dreamwave line was just such a bummer.  Tales of the TMNT was pretty good, but could have been a lot better.  this looks like it's going to rock.  Bless IDW.

Anyone know who owns the rights to the Turtles? With all the cartoons, movies, toys, different comic series from different companies, etc., someone has to be cashing in on the franchise, and I'm not sure if it's Eastman and Laird. If they are the ones making dough on all the TMNT ventures, God Bless them for letting people use so many creative liberties.

Well, we could have done without the Out of Their Shells Tour,

I can't wait to check these out.  Are there any cameos from Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady?

Well, we could have done without the Out of Their Shells Tour,

Nickelodeon bought the Turtles from Peter Laird in 2009.  They're developing a new animated series for next year, they have Michael Bay's production company putting together a new live action movie, and now the IDW comics.  They're seemingly doing everything right so far (Well, we'll see on the Platinum Dunes thing...But I refuse to NOT be excited about another Ninja Turtle movie).

I remember going to the Coming Out of Their Shells tour and it blowing my mind.  I still have the album on my ipod and once in a while it's a really fun listen.  Some of the songs are legitimately fun listens.

I handed in the outline for the Michelangelo one shot.  It is the most fun I've had writing an outline (which I really hate writing).  I hope they dig it, I think it would be awesome.

That's great Brian, can't wait for these to start coming out. Quick question, you said these comics aren't going to be goofy like the TV series. How much does that change Michalangelo? Is he still the fun turtle?
