It'll be the movie I end up actually liking and buying the Bluray even though it looks awful in previews and woefully underperforms at the box office?  Poor WB.

Every year, I like to try and pinpoint what I feel will be the SPEED RACER of the summer. I think maybe this is it.
It was Sucker Punch, it just came out early this year.

That looked incredible.  Literally the only problems I had with it are when he wears the mask (it just looks stupid) and his roar-reading of the line at the end.  But wow, the rest was really fun and epic.

I think certain things like a little over-designed the same way Bay over-designed the Transformers, but I completely trust Martin Campbell to make a fun, entertaining movie.

My buddy made a good point Re: the costume/mask. Do you think they went that route (CGI) so that when he's on Oa and interacting with computer generated characters that he blends in with them instead of sticking out?

It definitely looks better than that first look trailer they released did, that's for sure.  I have faith it could be a really fun movie.

I like that they whiten his eyes for the mask like in the comic'd books. In theory, anyway.

That's an excellent point actually.  Plus the suit is alien so over all I can see why they went with CGI.  You can do more things with it.  I like that it looks like it's made out of lasers and not just black and green spandex.

I think it all looks pretty great.  I'll be checking it out.

GUARDIANS!!!! And other stuff!

I can't tell if this looks really good, or if my excitement is just in seeing the property realized.
