Wow. Probably the best first episode ever. The dude is CRAZY.
Not that big on the idea of Redemption Island yet. It seems like it was created just because they figured Russel and Rob would be the first to go and wanted a way to prevent that. I'm assuming it will only be there for a few weeks. Otherwise it would ad 50% (or is it double) more shows to the season.

I had a pop up over the main window and completed the title as Survivor: Redneck Island. It's probably happened already, if not in name, definitely in spirit.

Were the contestants made fully aware of the redemption angle at the outset, or is it only revealed to the people voted off, one at a time? The person who told me about the concept wasn't sure, but thought it was a secret. I would be much more interested in watching if everyone knows, just to see how it changes the game (which, I assume, would no longer have "I'll take you with me to the final two/three alliances"), but if it's a last minute twist sprung on the finalists... eh.

It's funny how the crazy guy managed to get the target off his back by just being even more crazy.

But all it would have taken was Kristina saying, "Hey, everyone, let's vote for Phillip now." I guess only Rob is capable of such a thing.
Rob is the greatest. I think he knew that losing Philip early would make the show less great.
I kind of wish the show only followed Rob's tribe.

Yeah, the All-Star season and this season really kinda robbed Russell of whatever mystique he had. His strategy didn't really change after losing in the finale twice.

Rob seems to be doing it in a way where people would still vote for him in the end, at least so far.
