Like I said, not only is the incident (and others like it) disturbing but his reaction to it all is so much worse. 40 years later the guy is chuckling about it ANSI don't see him showing anything close to remorse or being sorry. He says he doesn't remember yet he CAN remember this had nothing to do with him being supposedly gay. How convenient. Also Romney telling that "funny" story about his dad buying a company and moving it to another state putting a bunch of people out of jobs. This guy just shocks me how he just keeps coming off worse and worse.

I know Republicans want anybody but Obama in the White House but do they seriously think this guy would be good for the country? All this guy does is pander and agree with the right wing people to get their vote. He seems to not have any real convictions of his own and the ones he does have seem to hurt everybody but Fart-with-a-beard white men. He's caught flip flopping and lieing on an almost daily basis. I thought it was funny how he took credit for the auto bailout even though he was against it.

You know, for a guy who has been running for president for the past eight years or so he's doing a horrible job of it.

He's emotional/irrational but he has a point: that recall result was kind of a big deal.

EDIT: Fuck me, Mitt Romney was a slimeball creep of a young man.

You know who else did this?  Elvis.  Nixon gave him some kind of honorary DEA badge (which Elvis had specifically requested) and used it to pull over drivers in Memphis.  Can you imagine getting pulled over and having the King himself appear at your window?

Stern got a lot of mileage out of "Officer Elvis" back in the day.

The whole cop-junkie phenomenon is really weird. There's overlap in the circles with serial killers, too. Not that every cop junkie or dude who is drawn to "security" by way of the power of the uniform/badge is a serial killer, but MANY serial killers are cop junkies and into the power of the uniform/badge. Lots of them are people who tried to be police but failed the eval, and who are nuts about cop trappings, handcuffs, authority, etc.

Except Walker is demolishing Unions explicitly to cripple Democrats in elections and turn Wisconsin permanently Red. He's not destroying democracy, but he certainly sees it as an obstacle in his way.

And thanks to Republicans, democracy literally is gone in Benton Harbor, Michigan, so unfortunately it's pretty difficult to exaggerate the shit Republicans are willing to do if given the opportunity.

That's been the case for a long long time, and is not limited to one party.  He reaction to one election is kind of silly.

The Republicans see Wisconsin as a blueprint for demolishing public worker unions all over the country, and the failed recall as a sort of public mandate (the margin was better in the GOP's favor than the original election). The direct effects of this one election will likely be felt strongly countrywide, and potentially soon.

I know what the party line on that is, yeah.

I'm pretty sure that's the party line for both parties though.

The guy was probably tired as shit and damn near depressed. Yes, he looks a little silly, but this is a severe problem. This is Romney's Senior Advisor in Florida:

That makes ME feel like crying.
