I thought it was great.  Loved how he just tore into his ice cream after the horrible awkward break up.

Don't get me wrong, an OK episode of Louis is a great half hour of TV.  Just compared to last year, I didn't think this episode was that strong

Noticed Pamela Aldon is no longer listed as Executive Producer.  But Vernon Chatman is.

No, I didn't notice that.  I wonder what that means for the show.

I think he said in one of the commentaries that her role was pretty much to bounce ideas and scripts off of. She has a 'story by' credit on one of the episodes this season so I imagine she's still involved.

Loved the episode, the April character was classic Louie, externalizing the depressing concept of the perfect ex-wife who breaks up with you before you into the unhappy marriage. It's like Curb, but about feelings and not so much about your "role" in society. I love Louie's emotionally incapacitated character.

I might have said this before, but this show seems like it is five minutes long.

Yeah, when "Created by Louis C.K." appeared tonight, I was genuinely surprised. "It's already over?" But yepp, it'd already been twenty minutes.

Also: How fucking nuts was that? Great episode!

Edit: That was Melissa Leo? Damn!

I love how every episode Louie puts some crazy visual gag. And right after that bit Louie doing his Mr. Mom shtick was very sweet and funny.

This season has already been really visually interesting, and there really haven't been THAT many big set pieces or anything. From interviews I've heard with him there's a LOT of cool, big stuff this year, and it's a more ambitious season than he's ever done before.

Also: I love that the motorcycle is a thing now.

I'm not going to spoil it but he really goes all out this season. Makes me hope he'll do an episode in México next season.

Yeah, specially since the motorcycle accident thing was something that happened to him in his 20's even to the Dr telling him "You're Ok, but you're stupid, don't ride motorcycles anymore".

All I want in life is for a crazy person to exclaim "Obama" every episode this season.

I love that runing joke, like when Louie's accountant tells him he can afford to buy an expensive house. "buh.. what about Obama?"

For some reason, the Obama stuff makes me think of this:

I thought this was linked in this thread recently, but I don't see it here, so I'm putting it here now because I love it.

That was a nice little episode.  But not one of is best.  Seemed like he dedicated too much time for not enough payoff.
