I know we have a couple of TiVo subscribers here, if you are interested; my short film THE GATE  is paired with a foreign short film called "Deadline" in a similarly themed double feature called "Illusory Life" and it's now available to all TiVo subscribers, courtesy of Openfilm.com. If you are a TiVo subscriber check it out and let me know how it looks. TiVo subscribers can click the link below and automatically send the video to your TiVo DVR, or go to Web Videos then Arts then Openfilm.com directly from your TiVo menu. (or something like that, I don't know for sure as I do not have TiVo) If you wouldn't mind giving it a watch and letting me know how it looks, I would appreciate it. When it was on Comcast OnDemand it looked like a bootlegged VHS and the audio was out of sync. I hope TiVo and Openfilm.com did a better transfer. It'll be available for a week, until next Thursday. Deadline/THE GATE spoilers
Deadline and THE GATE have pretty much exactly the same twist so whichever one is first is pretty much going to ruin the ending for the other for any first timers watching on TiVo, that's kind of a bummer.
Non-TiVo users can check it out online in HD at its new home on openfilm.com

I must be annoying that they put a spoiler in as the summary.

I'm downloading it now (it's late, I'll check it out tomorrow)

 "Illusory Life"
Do you know what happens after you die? Where will you go? What will it be like? These two very different short films take you a little bit closer to understanding.
I'm getting a "We're sorry, .h264 web videos are not available on this DVR." message when I go that link. I have a Series 2. Is there a menu from within the Tivo interface I may have more luck at using?

I dont know for sure, because i dont have a TiVo, but these were the instructions i was giving for getting to it from the DVR " from the menu choose Web Videos then choose Arts then choose Openfilm.com and choose Illusory Life" But, since the first choice is still "web videos" I dont know it thats going to cause an issue for you. I appreciate you giving it a shot in any event. At least i know, thanks to your error message, they are using h264 as a codec which gives me some relief as to the quality of the video.

It looked good.  Congratulation.  (liked the "special thanks")

How did you get it on there?

Thanks man. Not sure really. Openfilm.com selected it as their editors pick last week and it got a lot of hits that day. They sent me an email Thursday morning asking me if it was ok for them to feature it on their TiVo section. You guys were a lot of help when I was editing it so the special thanks was the least I could do.
