THEORY: Gordon gets taken out and put in the hospital, JGL, the younger cop out of his element, has to take over as acting commissioner. Just whatever makes him not become Robin or something silly like that.

I think JGL probably becomes the next "someone." I just don't think that someone is Batman.

I still think he's the Riddler.

$20 says he isn't. Online gambling is legal right?

I should clarify and note that I don't actually think that.

JGL turns out to be Superman.
Take that, Zach Snyder!

I believe Nolan when he says he won't do Robin. Although he's kind of a perfect Robin if Batman were older.

But Batman IS older. Peppered hair!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PayRJfUvK3QI love that Thomas Lennon is in this. Looking at his filmography, apparently he was in MEMENTO as well, also playing "doctor." I don't remember him in that movie but I like to think that he's reprising his role.

That was weirdly funny for this movie.

It's kind of impossible for Thomas Lennon not to be funny.
The "Bruce Wayne, Millionaire Playboy" moments in the Nolan movies have always been the most humorous, though, so this isn't COMPLETELY out of left field for me.

Oh, I know there have been funny parts in the other movies (like every time Batman talks, BA-ZING), but I just meant it was weird to see something in the marketing of this one show a sense of humor. It's been unrelentingly somber.

It seems like counter-programming, so to speak. "Looks somber and depressing? Look here, there's lighter moments." Like when they started including the Alfred line about taking a bit to get back in the swing of things.

I think all but one of the TV spots I've seen for this movie included humorous moments. In fact, I can only tell them apart by which joke(s) they have.
