The Hope firing is the worst firing ever and a clear ratings coup. The most blatant anyway. Left me sour on the whole thing.

Right... before the show even started I was like "well, I guess Hope's leaving tonight".  Maybe not the MOST blatant.  Richard Hatch got fired for being the most boring and Mark McGrath got fired so Busey could be there one more week.
Hope is the weakest player there and in the last few weeks that happens a lot.  I think even if the guys lost, Trump would figure out a way to fire Hope.

Mark McGrath messed up every chance he got to get Busey fired though. It was really all his fault.

Nah, even if he hadn't set himself up, Trump would have found a way to fire him.

He always does that when someone hasn't shot themselves in the foot. He makes them pick fights with teammates hoping they'll throw them under the boss and mention flaws and mistakes and doubts....

Haven't you ever watched this show?

Of course, and he got himself into that position because HE had never seen the show. He made every crucial mistake.

1. Before they saw which team one, he stated he was so proud of his team that he would take responsibility.

2. He turned coat when he lost.

3. He brought the wrong person into the boardroom with him and Busey.

Trump was practically holding his hand the whole time and he still fucked up.

Or he just makes up random reasons to fire someone, like firing Khloe Kardashian because of a 2 year old drunk driving arrest.

Meatloaf is so unstable. He needs to get help. I loved his line though "This show has taught me things that I didn't know I knew." That's like a Michael Scott line.

Do you think a Stockholm Syndrome occurs with these people where they buy into the ideas that 1)winning is important after X number of dollars is already secured for one's charity and 2)Trump is a real human being with opinions that are important?

Very true... but this show also revealed how horrible Star Jones is.

My favorite bit was how, last week (or I guess the week before, but then it was included in the recap last week), she totally copped to planning to head-game people in order to win, and for the past two weeks has acted *offended* at the mere implication when the other contestants called her out on trying to game them in some way.

I love it when trying to outsmart the game backfires on people.

Star getting fired was pretty great. She took it like such a baby. Does anyone else think they brought La Toya back just because they forgot to do the Billy Jean sidewalk light up thing the first time?

That just went on and on.  As insane as Meatloaf is, I couldn't believe how much Star flat out lied.  She out right told them not to use that box shot.  However, it was a pretty stupid idea to begin with and that was all Meat Loaf.  Honestly, Trump could have fired any of them but I think after that incident in the lobby he picked Star.  John and John seem to be unstoppable at this point.

And the thing he fired her for was her only valid point.

I loved that skateboarder. I wish they did commercials every week.

Yeah, if you're trying to get sympathy from Donald Trump about sexual harassment, you're barking up the wrong tree.

I assumed that the presence of Marlee Matlin at the CC Roast was a kind of a spoiler as to who won or at least was in the top 2?
