Burger patty round-up! Who's got the best beef for your buck? I vote Wendy's.
It's a toss-up between The Counter, Houston's and 8oz Burger Bar. LA has really good burgers.

In-n-out, for fast food burgers. Delux in Phoenix has the best burgers/sweet potato fries I've ever had.

Burger King's value meals are the most expensive, but the dollar menu is the most delicious.

I made my first flambe the other day. It's fun. I plan on doing it again in the future.

You guys sure eat a lot of fast food. I'm actually a little jealous.
I've owned a teeny-tiny catering company for nearly nine years, and have come very close to opening a restaurant. Had four seasonal menus written, had the funding, had a food distributor, but couldn't put all my eggs in one basket. The market for haute cuisine isn't on the up and up as well.
I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of catering on Valentine's Day, which should put a few bucks in the wallet.

Yeah, everyone was talking about how great it was, so the first time I had one I was skeptical. But I finished that burger and was hooked. And then they opened a Five Guys by my house and now I'm a fiend.

I had the same experience. My parents had one near them, which I tried once or twice, but they just opened one here about two months ago, and I'm a regular (or as much of a regular as you can be at a place like that without weighing 1000 pounds).

Allow me to offer up my ringing endorsement of the V8 Fusion Strawberry-Banana drink.

I love hamburgers, but everytime I eat at BK or McD's I feel like I'm going to die afterwards. the only international fast food chain I've found palatable is Carl's Jr although it's a bit expensive here. I do my main fast fooding with tacos, every other weekend I'll be eating Tacos al Pastor, it's my weakness. Reading achewood I hear that you guys got Suadero Tacos in California, do try them! With Cilantro and Onions of course. If it's Pastor, with pineapple too.

Even with Carl's Junior, 20% of the 100% Ground Beef is filler. I tried Carl's Junior's take on the big mac. It was great, but couldn't finish half of it. I'm a fast food light weight.

I tried Five Guys when I was in NYC last fall. I didn't see what the big deal was.

I tried Five Guys today. The burger was decent.
This is not really a negative critique. I'm quite a plain eater - I like my burgers with nothing but ketchup. Unfortunately, most places assume you'll load up on other tasty bits in the sandwich (cheese, greens, bacon) when you order a burger, so the patty itself is usually just bland filler. At Five Guys it tasted like a burger should taste, even if it's not the best burger you'll eat.

On my FG burger, I go: cheese, ketchup, mayo, fried onions, lettuce, and bacon.
Yep. Now I'm going for lunch tomorrow.

I used to love the burgers at Bennigan's. I miss that restaurant. I used to get their potato soup along with either their barbecue burger or American burger and that was some good eatin'. Ruby Tuesday has a good barbecue burger as well. Still need to try Five Guys.
