I always pop it under the broiler for a few seconds, it melts the cheese and finishes the cook on the top of the egg so that the bottom doesnt over cook. The eggs are always fluffy and perfect.

A perfectly fine method for normal, sensible omelets for normal, sensible human persons, but mine tend to be a bit turgid. If I didn't preheat the fillings, the top layer might burn before the bottom warmed through.

I have never heard of anyone putting an omelet under a broiler before. Interesting. Using a poblano pepper instead of a green bell, going to saute it in butter with the other veggies until the onions are translucent. Will serve with a slice of cantaloupe. Brunch for dinner without the mimosa.

I cant take credit for it, I saw Chef Ramsay do it, I tried it once and now I'll never do it any other way.

I've done it before with some of my skimpier omelets, but mainly use the broiler for frittatas and pizzas.

I've got to try that. Gordon Ramsey has become so much of a character people forget that even Jaques Pepin find him to be an incredible chef. Fourth of July Sausage Party today. Mettwurst, knockwurst, and weisswurst. Also serving Bomb Pop Cocktails.

If anyone is interested, we did Taco Bell's new Beefy Nacho Burrito over at Tasty Lies today. About what you'd expect from Taco Bell. If you like Taco Bell, you'll probably dig it. http://www.tastylies.com/?p=3504

I definitely enjoyed the corn chip burrito more than the Dorito shell taco (which tasted really stale), but not enough to ever order it again.

I enjoy the Dorito Shell Taco Supreme. Without the sour cream in there it's way too dry.

I know it is implied that fast food isn't good for you, but Taco Bell food always looks really bad for you. Doesn't mean I won't take advantage of half price taco day every now and again, but I never feel too hot after thinking outside the bun.
It's even 8am yet and I'm already looking forward to dinner. A whole fresh red snapper lightly stuffed with slices of grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, and a bit of Italian parsley. Roasted in a light bed of salt, served whole.

Wait one minute... are you telling me that putting your meal inside of a Dorito isn't good for you? Get the F out! Weird thing is when I used to go out drinking a lot and I was hung over. Taco Bell was the best food for my hangover. Pretty counter-intuitive, but it made me feel a whole lot better.

I always eat a nasty greasy meal the day after drinking. TMI, but for me it helps.....clear out my system.

I weirdly do that same thing I've been sick for a few days. Dunno why, but it feels good to power through a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich after feeling super gross for however many days. I think it's the same principal, but is probably scientifically less sound.
