If I have had liver and onions before, I don't remember it. Had veal liver and onions last night, and I doubt I'll forget it.
Absolutely delicious.

I had liver once when I was a kid. Don't recall if I liked the taste or not, but the aroma created a very strong sense memory that is sometimes triggered by low grade Steak-umms type products. It's one of the few smells that can instantly nauseate me: liver / cheap sandwich 'steak'; butter burning; any Campells Chunky soup with beef in it; microwaved hot dogs.

Do you occasionally find that some people's houses smell like this? I think that was a Wayne's World joke from about 20 years ago, but I still find it's true today. I guess my point is, that seems like a smell you'd encounter more often than expected.

I only had liver once. My grandma always tried to get me to eat it when I was a kid and I always refused, so one time she put it into a hamburger bun and told me it was a burger. I got three bites in before I was all like "Jesus, what's the story with this burger?" It tasted terrible. Eating organs is something that I don't think people should do. It steps on the line that separates us from X-FILES mutants.

Eating organs is something that I don't think people should do. I've never had liver for exactly this reason. Eating animals is already kinda gross, like when you bite into a piece of chicken and pull a vein out from between your teeth. Just the thought of biting into a liver makes me feel queasy.

I'm fine with people eating organs, I think it's better than killing an animal just to eat the muscles and throw the rest away. Of course, that having been said, the only way I ever eat organs is in cheap hot dogs and stuff like that, so I can't really defend it too much.

Do you occasionally find that some people's houses smell like this? My sister's house does, but it's no mystery -- she loves Chunky beef.

In Mexico we eat tacos made of fried guts, eyes, nose, etc. Also stomach soup. Lots of flavour.

Speaking of eating gross stuff, do any of you guys like scrapple? My mom is the pickiest eater I know, but every time we go home for the holidays to NJ, she eats a ton of that stuff and never once worries about what's in it. I guess it's just a matter of scrapple doesn't LOOK like anything gross. I'm not a fan, personally.

I like to imagine you were the same age as in that He-Man picture. Please let me live in my beautiful fiction.

You know what turns my stomach to think about it? Are McDonald's burgers, where there's always at least one of those un-nameable, super-tiny little white tubules that look like DEEP SPACE 9's worm hole. Anything organic that is in a perfect circle grosses me out.

I LOVE liverwurst, but liver straight-up is fucking nasty. Sadecki and I gave it another shot a few years ago, that shit just taste like hot, chalky clay.
I've definitely partied with scrapple, yeah.
