That's what the last 2-3 episodes should have been.

Glad to hear it's good. Though it makes me sad that probably the only good thing about LOST's final season is a DVD supplemental.

I really didn't like that season at all. It kind of retroactively killed the whole show for me.

I disagree that anything about this epilogue is not in keeping with the last season, or the season finale.  If you didn't like the last season, this epilogue is not going to save it for you.  It is really just an extension of the last episode.

Wait, an epilogue is an extension of the last episode?  That's lunacy!

I found it pretty meh,  at least compared to the fake synopsis that 'leaked' last month.

That synopsis to me is pretty meh.  "WALT JUST FUCKING VANISHES"? Dumb.

Hey, I liked the last season, and the last episode, and the epilogue.  I just don't want Wolfie to turn on us next week after watching this and tell us that we join Carlton/Lindelof in spoiling his dreams.

OK, I liked it, nate said it best, it was satisfying although now it makes me want more.
I thought it was funny how the worker yelled "We deserve answers!" like so many of the fans did after the finale. It was cool how they basically just started answering questions for us, almost felt like creators were just sitting down telling us the answers to things people have been bitching about. It was really nice seeing Walt again and kinda sweet watching Ben trying to apologize/make amends for what he did. I like the idea of Walt running the island and becoming the new Jacob/Jack/Hurley and I'm sure Hurley will be a better teacher than crazy mom was. Maybe thats why Walt wasn't in the church? He had thousands of years of protecting the island while Hurley didn't have to stick around all that long? I would LOVE at least half a season of the adventures of Hurley, Ben and Walt maybe with the ending being Hurley passing over the job to Walt. Maybe Hurley does that after Ben dies sacrificing himself to save Walts life in some way.
The vanishing would have been dumb, but only if he was shown doing it while we're looking right at him.   If it were a "Ben turns around and Walt has vanished" moment, it would have been no more dumb than when Walt would unexpectedly appear on the island in the actual series.   ( Unless it's been decided that that was Smokey? )

And a Locke Mythology scene would have been way less meh than pretty much any non-Locke scene any day of the week.

That was kind of fun. They should have probably made an hour long episode doing this kind of thing.
