Did Cena get the spinny belt, or the old WCW belt?

Yeah Tom, it really was such a different type of match from anything we've seen in the WWE. There are so many great moments in that match. I had no idea what this match was going to be like but was shocked by how brutal it was. I really liked the MMA style to it. Brock flying out of the ring was a sight to see though and the laugh off was great. I know this doesn't kill Brock but it defenitly hurts his cred and now it's an uphill battle. Like Punk says, Vince is a millionaire who should be a billionaire. Did Cena get the spinny belt, or the old WCW belt?
Cena vs Brock wasn't for a title just a grudge match. Bryan/Sheamus was for the old WCW belt and Punk/Jericho was for the spinny belt. I love how you classify the WWE and the World Titles though, lol.

I missed a huge chunk of wrestling, and during that time I only knew of the Championship, Intercontinental, and TAG TEAM belts. I'm still playing catch up......ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!!

http://franticplanet.wordpress.com/2012/03/09/the-mad-lies-of-hulk-hogan/Nice story here which shows how full of shit Hogan is. My two favorite lies are that Lars Ulrich asked Hogan to be the bass player in Metallica (BWAHAHA) and Hogan saying after he slammed and beat Andre at WM 3, Andre died two days later. If that's true than I guess Hogan really did carry him in their rematches. Oh Hogan.

I loved Lesnar/Cena. I felt uneasy shocked watching and that's a feeling you don't really get anymore. When Brock was throwing elbows I winced every single time. And I was concerned he was going to lock in that hold a little TOO much and do some damage. Kudos to those guys for pulling off a very believable FIGHT. Not wrestling match, just a flat out fight.
Can't wait for Punk/Danielson.

Oh yeah, it was a hell of a match/fight and I gotta give major props to Cena for taking the punishment he did. Like I said, it was unlike anything we've seen in the WWE. I just think the wrong man went over. Apparently Lesner was PISSED after the show to the point of throwing shit and breaking things (I do not envy the man sent to calm him down). Brock was told in the end Cena was going to be so hurt he would have to be stretchered out but when he saw Cena cut a promo after the match he felt WWE and Cena screwed him over. And yes, I can't wait for Punk/Bryan. Their matches in ROH were very good and they had a match on RAW that was solid before WrestleMania so I expect good things. Give them both some time on a PPV and we should get a classic. The promos between the two should be good too as I really dig both of their characters right now.

I miss the days of watching to two of them (And Samoa Joe/AJ Styles/Frankie Kazarian/Chris Daniels) wrestle in American Legion halls and Jewish Community Centers around LA. They were all so young then, it's weird to see those folks as the supposed "veterans" these days.
Those were great shows... I'd love to relive those times. If you'd told me then that CM Punk would have been a 5 time World Champion at WWE, I would have laughed. I never envisioned a time when the Indy All Stars would become the establishment. These are good wrestling times we live in. The shows may not always be quality and the ratings may be down, but being able to turn on the TV and see The American Dragon and the leader of the Second City Saints is pretty sweet.

Hayner, do you ever go to see PWG? They look very fun (moreso than ROH, to be honest, though the Steen stuff is picking up steam and I'll still go to all the Hammerstein shows).

When I was still in southern California I was a PWG regular. I went to just about every show the first four years. And when I get back to LA, you can bet I'll be back. They REALLY know how to put on fun shows. They know how to play up the entertainment of it all while still having fantastic wrestling. They also don't shy away from really fun characters. They've usually got at least one solid comedy match on their shows and a lot of the other matches inject a good dose of humor to boot.
From what I'm hearing they're really starting to blow up now too, so if you have a chance to go see one of their shows...Make it happen.
And I've been to a couple ROH shows in Chicago. They're pretty fun. The company I currently work for bought the promotion last year. I thought that would bring them closer to me than Chicago or net me some tickets. Nothing yet.

Oh yeah Hayner, I really miss going to the Armory and watching those same guys just pull out great matches for such a small crowd. Like I've said before I had FIP, ROHs sister promotion so I always got a whos who of Indy all stars and I also went to a couple of ROH shows. It's funny looking back at really how young they were when I first got into these guys. I would have laughed right with you had you told me Punk and Danielson would be the champions going into WM. Hell I've had dinner with Punk, Colt and a couple of other guys, I just thought at the time they would stay Indy guys. But you're right, as much bitching as we do about the WWE at least right now we have two Indy favorites going at it for the WWE Title on PPV.

Sorry I just had to share this, I was at the show where this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qoiReTpmo0&feature=youtube_gdata_player happened during a falls count anywhere match. It may be my favorite Punk moment. P.S: don't you wish Punk would pull out the Pepsi Plunge in the WWE? Not every match but maybe for big matches like WrestleMania.

Hahaha, I was coming back to post a video too. I just got lost in a YouTube hole. I remember THIS show (WAR, not PWG) It was El Generico (Who you may have heard of) and Top Gun Talwar Who you have not). And it's awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt-VYX4Zkn4

That was really good, I loved it when they pulled back the curtain to show them bashing chairs on the floor. I of course know who Generico is but I don't think I've ever seen the Top Gun guy before. I really liked Generico/Steen as a tag team and the war that followed after their breakup. I'm liking what Steen is doing now in ROH. I dunno though, there's something more you get out of going to an Indy event as opposed to a WWE event.

The Punk video is great.
Talwar was funny. His gimmick was everything he did was named after something from Top Gun and he entered to DANGER ZONE, but he also proclaimed his love for steroids, cocaine, and hookers. It was more than once he'd walk to the ring with a face coated in white powder screaming "GOOOOOOOOOOD DAMMIT" as loud as he could. I can't explain why it was funny, but it had the crowd in stitches every single time.
