I thought the glove was a child's nightmare interpretation of a sexual molestor, not something that Krueger used while he was alive. But it's been a while since I saw it.
In the first one, Nancy's mother admits to Nancy towards the end of the film that when they burned Freddy alive, she took his glove and hid it in their boiler. Also, in Freddy's Dead, when they show the flashback to before Freddy was burned, he had a workshop full of all different sorts of gloves, some with hooks and spikes instead of knives.

Yeah, the first scene in the first movie is him building the glove.

Also, why would Freddy have nightmares? I never understood that title.

I watched that episode recently and the first half, that deals directly with Freddy is pretty terrible. The second half is much better.
The first half makes it seem like it was freddy's master plan to have them follow him to the boiler room and burn him alive. It also contradicts a lot of stuff from the series.

It might just be that it seems like such an inefficient, metaphorical weapon.

True, but he was killing small children. They also stated that he would kidnap the kids and take them back to the boiler room where he would kill them, so I imagine hes got some sort of Dexter thing going on down there.

Oh.
His pants look remarkably well-preserved for having been burned alive. Did he get a new pair in the afterlife?

Well he DOES look like a burn victim. Credit where it's due, I suppose.

Or they wouldn't make Jason Voorhees a wily redneck rigging up booby traps to protect his weed farm? That's how you interpreted that movie? I never thought the weed plants were directly related to Jason, nor did I think he behaved significantly more intelligently than in other movies.

I said he was a redneck! That's the polar opposite of intelligent. But, that having been said, building an underground catacombs and keeping that one girl alive because she reminded him of his mother is much more intelligent than anything he does in the original series, I think.

I guess he has more engineering acumen, you're right. He could've just as easily found those tunnels--perhaps they were built by the folks who were growing the pot before he found and killed them. But I'll give you that anyway, because that's ascribing backstory where none is explicitly provided, and because the traps were undoubtedly his. He was always pretty mom-fixated, though. I always figured he thought that WAS his mom, and was keeping her imprisoned because he couldn't process why she was freaking out and trying to get away.

That's a doll, so bad make-up and clean pants can be forgiven. I think it looks kinda neat.
