Here are my stories involving both:
1. Chevy Chase - Keith Miller and I went to the Christopher Walken SNL episode where they did "cowbell". We, for some reason, were allowed backstage. We hung out in the green room. Chevy stood right next to us the entire time. He SCREAMED for a production assistant to get him stuff. "Where the hell is Kevin?" It was explained to him that during the live show, all production assistants need to work ON the show, and since he's just visiting, he can't have one as a personal assistant. He also told someone to blow him when they bent down near him. Also he caused a plane to knock into the Statue of Liberty's torch but that's a story for another time.
2. Dan Harmon - We went to a Channel 101 thing. Two girls made shirts that had an in-joke that Harmon made the previous week, or on-line, or something. They were SO excited to show him. He stared at them for a moment, shrugged and went "right".

That was your cue for you and Keith to be his wacky assistants for the night.

Keith and I overlaughed at his really horrible jokes to the point of where we thought it would make him stop. We were fools.

I'm sure it's been said before, but you are our generation's Forrest Gump.

Kevin Smith tells a sad and uncomfortable story about meeting with Chevy when he wanted to make a direct sequel to FLETCH at Universal. It had a lot of laughing at old bad jokes that Chevy kept taking credit for.

It was clever, but not one of the funnier episodes.

Yeah. It was kind of impressive, but I wouldn't watch it again.

Could you imagine if that was your first episode? Like "hmmm, I hear great things about this show. Let me check it out." My favorite line of the night was “Leonard likes this post.” But then I realized that Community fans are crazy, so I googled it, and yep.... http://www.quickmeme.com/meme/3onrwf/Already a meme.

This is the most perfect summation in all of the internet.

Does that idea count anymore with on-demand compiled episodes and DVDs?

It was. It was funny and cool and ambitious, but I wouldn't watch it again if it were on.
