Everybody left is too much of a human being for this to be good. That crazy clown-red haired singer(?) from the other season is a necessary component to this show; you need someone who is at once too dumb to realize that winning doesn't mean much and also cagey enough to angle to try to win at all costs.

Yeah, I gave up about 4 episodes ago. I don't even know who won.

Trace Adkins, with Penn as the runner up.

It made me sad that Penn actually cared about winning as much as he did.

The best was that the decision really came down to "you made fun of me in an interview last time, winner: TRACE."

(at least) one reviewer pointed out what a dick move it was for Trump to try to get Penn to apologize, already knowing he was about to fire him.

As it turns out, with the OK tornado, I'm glad Red Cross got the money. I'm sure that Opportunity Village got a gigantic boost and high visibility from the show and Penn's efforts and testimonial. But right now, aid to people displaced from disaster seems like a better place.

Yeah, during the episode I was saying, "There's no way they can rationalize taking half a million dollars away from the Red Cross."
Penn really did seem exceptionally emotionally invested in his charity, though, so I felt bad for a split second when it went the way it had to, but that turned around when he immediately began applauding for Trace harder than anyone.

Wait-- none of the money went to Penn's charity?

I'm not 100% certain. During the regular season it's winner-take-all, except for one week when the teams both raised such an unprecedented amount of money for their charities that even the Donald didn't have the heart to dick one over.
I don't recall if it was said during the finale what would become of the fundraising funds, but then I somehow missed hearing the announcing of the amounts raised too.

I don't think it's winner take all for the ending.

I didn't see this seasons finale, but I think in previous finales the tasks they were doing were for a specific other (neither of theirs) charity. Then the winner of that get's the separate "prize" money for winning for their charity.
