I totally thought of our conversation on here when that happened.

The teaser for this episode was (arguably, I suppose), the dumbest thing that's ever been on the show.
EDIT: Haha, correction. The last act is also right up there.
I thought the first half was hysterical. I love how cars are stopped dead in there tracks my zombies. And I don't even understand what the "red shirt" in the RV was doing. Why wouldn't he drive up, let them on the roof and just drive away? But the most amazing part was when Lori was pissed at Rick for Carl shooting zombie Shane. I would have slapped the bitch and said "fuck you, maybe if you kept an eye on the damn kid he wouldn't have been out in zombie field all alone".

I thought the episode was great. The total chaos and everyone losing each other was done really realistically. I was frustrated for the characters.
Don't quite get with Lori being annoyed at him, but she'll come around, I'd assume.

I thought that was probably the best episode they've ever done, and then it went kinda nuts when Rick started telling her everything in a weird way [I almost thought he was gonna say "And then I was just gonna abandon you and go off with Carl" he was confessing so much], and then flipping out and explaining in the worst possible way what happened. Weird place to end, but a lot of the first half was great.
And Lori gets annoyed because her sole place in the show is the react to any given thing in the stupidest and worst possible way. Like, finding out Shane tried to beat up Rick, well that means she's going to tell him how much he really meant to her. That's the way to get him to move on.

Lori's reaction was the worst of it, but everyone starting to turn against Rick at the end was annoying. No one should have held the Shane thing against him the way he laid it out (which, yeah, he totally didn't need to do at all), especially given that they all knew Shane was pretty volatile. And the short-hair woman turning Lady MacBeth over him keeping the infection thing from them was also odd. This show doesn't really know how to generate conflict organically.
Hopefully AMC will loosen up the pursestrings next year. Stranding us on that damn farm for the whole season was a bit much. And thank God T-Dawg is still with us.

Who was the guy in the van/RV? I rewound a few times and still could not figure it out.

I thought Lori was mad about Carl being the one who shot Shane, not about the fact that Shane was dead.

I thought it was left sort of ambivalent; like, her overture to Shane was an actual conflicted message and now that he's gone and not a viable "maybe" she's upset. Because if it is about Carl, then LADY. WATCH YOUR FRIGGIN' KID.

One of the empty faces walking around in the background of the farm all season. They needed to weed them out to move on. Before the show started we were talking about who would die and we all agreed all the "red shirt" (we weren't sure how many were left) would die. Ends up it was just that dude and one other of Herchel's daughters.

My friend who watched the "Talking Dead" after show said that the writers said that Lori was really mad at herself that she had caused Rick to kill Shane. He said they acknowledged that it didn't come off that way at all. Horribly executed but at least that explanation makes a little sense.

I've already forgotten... was Lori surprised when Rick told them they were all infected? Because being pregnant and not having that information when she was back-and-forth on the morning after pill, she could've reserved her being pissed for that. When she came up to him and said "I'm sure you had your reasons," was it about that or Shane? Maybe the baby won't be infected or immune to it?
I liked last night's episode. Carl is proving more useful than Lori, Carol and Beth, who should run all screamy and googly eyed with arms flailing and "Yakety Sax" playing.
I don't think Patricia was Herschel's daughter, was she? But Otis's wife?

Not that the show would do this but 2 words... "still birth"... Imagine? Little baby zombie birth. It would be the most amazing birth scene since "V".

Yeah, I think the other one said something like "first my mother, now my sister" and someone else in the car said "you don't know that".

I thought Maggie was referring to Beth.
