It seems like they're smaller than they should be. Aren't they supposed to be three apples high?

yes, according too wikipedia "very short (as tall as 3 apples high)" From that clip I think they are pretty close.

Wouldn't a "live action" Smurf movie set entirely in the Smurf world be all CGI except for Gargamel?

I love that studios think that putting a "Cool, popular" song into a trailer will make it cool and popular, but there's simply no reason for the Smurfs theme to be mashed-up with "Funky Cold Medina."
Actually, in principal that's actually pretty sweet, but it just annoyed me here.
Also: Smurf'd? Yikes. Not surprised, but yikes.

Wasn't it "Wild Thing?" At least, "Funky Cold Medina" would've been slightly more obscure. But, yeah, that made a bland teaser just terrible. Like, if someone made a parody teaser making fun of the way studios would try to sell the Smurfs, they would use that song.

And yet it'll make hundreds of millions of dollars. Was Alvin and the Chipmunks any good? I never got around to seeing it.

I enjoyed the first one. They matched the tone of the old 80s cartoon pretty well, I thought. Never bothered with the *sigh* squeakuel, though.

I liked the mashup, I had a bigger problem with the suuuuuuuper generic boring clichéd thing they did with the monuments, someone should edit together all the times they've done that in teaser trailers.

What's the point of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: THE MOVIE making mistakes if nobody learns from them?
You'd have a point, IF that movie had made any mistakes. It didn't.

I'd call "a majority of the movie not being set in Eternia" a mistake.
