Yeah, BRIDE WARS was very "women can not handle anything, at all". And the ending was weird. *spoilers* Did someone need to break up with their spouse unexpectedly so the other could enjoy their wedding? I guess so.

I'm amazed that you guys could make it through BRIDE WARS. The trailer (which has played before probably 85% of the movies I've seen since October) quite literally made me wince each time it came on. I can't even imagine sitting through the entire movie. Without really searching my memory for possible better candidates, I might call it my least favorite trailer ever.

Derick, do you see all these movies for free or are you paying for them? I've often wondered that.

On Thursdays, I get off work in time to make a midnight screening of one of the new friday releases at a local theater. If anything looks halfway decent, I'll go. I pay for them. But I still have Arclight contacts and get movies for free there from time to time. If I have an interest in seeing a movie, I always go see it in a theater. I don't really like watching new movies on dvd.

Anne Hathaway is pretty, which was the deciding factor between BRIDE WARS and THE UNBORN. I know Odette whatever her name is, is hot too. But THE UNBORN is not my kind of movie. BRIDE WARS was awful, and I didn't need to pay 9 dollars to figure that out...but here we are.

I think I really have a problem because I'm looking forward to being annoyed by Bride Wars.

It was hard to look at Kate Hudson's face. She looked oddly asian, slightly retarded. I'm wondering if she had work done.

Yes. The first time I saw the trailer, I didn't even recognize her. I asked my girlfriend who that actress with the bangs was, and it took her a few seconds to register, too. And she's seen HOW TO LOSE A GUY a whole mess of times.

THE UNBORN

It's at the bottom of my list, if you're wondering. Just awful.

KILLSHOT
BRIDE WARS
--------------------

I like Mickey Rourke. But he looks like a burn victim though. Two consecutive horrid faces to look at in '09.

Hotel For Dogs

____________

It was really cute.  And the title doesn't lie, it doesn't in fact center around a hotel for dogs.

Observe and Report
I Love You, Man
Paul Blart: Mall Cop NEW
Hotel for Dogs NEW
Notorious NEW
My Bloody Valentine 3-D NEW
Bride Wars NEW
---------------------

Blart was surprising. There were some decent jokes and line deliveries. The Happy Madison trademark asshole character was well done.

Hotel for Dogs had some great dog casting. And it was fun watching it picturing the cynical parody version that could have existed.

Notorious was decent but music bios get a little boring to me.

Valentine was boring but the 3D made it watchable.

Bride Wars was as bad as I was hoping. It was awesome how every problem in the movie had an obvious and easy solution that they would never address.

I watched the first four ROCKYs and then ROCKY BALBOA today (sick and whatnot).  I want to see a new Stallone movie every day.

Get NIGHTHAWKS, with Billy Dee Williams and Rutger Hauer. It features a bearded Stallone as a 1970s hero-cop.

I loooooved that movie when I was a kid; Hauer was terrifying to me.

Humpday
_________
I would have bet my life against a comedy about two straight dudes making a gay porno being funny.  But man, this movie is awesome.

THE BROTHERS BLOOM
TAKEN
MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D new!

Utterly stupid and predictable, but the sheer awfulness of the script and acting was entertaining, and the 3D was fun.
