Yay! 75!

EDIT: I would like to add that R ich's Brian Cox was my favorite thing in the episode.

Richie's original lyric "30 rock was okay. Everybody Turkey day" is still something I think of whenever I think 30 rock or thanksgiving.

It was great to hear What Does a Monster Sound Like make a return and I'm sure Fart-with-a-beard was practicing that song weeks in advance. 75 episodes! Good work, you guys. This episode was so much fun that my favorite part wasn't even when you said my name.

I'm pretty sure it was free styled. We didn't ask Fart-with-a-beard to do it until right before we recorded.

Very fun episode. I agree with Lynch on BEFORE WATCHMEN for the most part, I think they've been well done for the most part and benefited from having some amazing art (especially Amanda Connor on Silk Spectre), but everything's felt unnecessary. They aren't bad comics, they're just underlining stuff that's already there in the original.

The exception to that is the Straczynski / Kubert Nite Owl issue from last week, which is just flat-out terrible. The origin stuff was a bundle of clichés, and then the way he writes Rorschach and their first meeting was so badly done. 'Hurm you're a superhero too hurm let's be best friends hurm'.

The Silver Surfer mini-series that Straczynski did a few years ago is probably the only thing of his that I've read which I really liked, so I'm hoping he does a better job on the Dr Manhattan book as they're sort of similar characters. Not too optimistic though.

Fart-with-a-beard already emailed me his spider thoughts but if he hadn't I would be on pins and needles.

I listened to the Spider-man 3 one again yesterday in preparation and I can confirm that I am on pins and needles.

I suck.  Sadecki and Fart-with-a-beard were nice enough to come to my neck of the woods and when were about to record, I had to bail for a family emergency (everything's okay now, don't worry).  Anyway, we tried and my apologies, guys.

Then we shouldn't do one without him?

I always like it best when all of you are present, even if it means skipping a week (especially when you're covering any big summer movies). Is Jordy going to be unavailable for a while?

Also, sorry to hear there was family stuff but glad it's all okay now.

Jordy-less PTUSA's are still fun, but the dynamic seems to change when he's not around. Or for that fact, when any of the four original Party Truckers aren't together.

Well, yeah, of course it's best when all 4 are there.  That's why we do it with all 4 of us.  But when we talk about doing a show and we get "it ain't the same without Jordy".  Eh, I don't get why that's something you think is a good thing to say.  Eh, I'm gonna go find Dalton.

Well, yeah, of course it's best when all 4 are there.

And that is all I meant. Simply a compliment to Jordy.

Do get Dalton. I still love listening to one of the earlier episodes where he goes into a Mark Twain character and mentions mint juleps.
