I did see it in 2D so maybe the green screen looked worse. Every matte looked terrible. It seemed like a huge step backwards. That on top of me not caring about anything that happened hurt my enjoyment of the film.

In 3-D, there was a few shots that had no business being green screened that looked it. The worst of them was in the burned-out bar scene where Steve can't get drunk (the same teenager who was scared of Red Skull expressed loud sympathy for that). They cut to a close-up of the girl, and it didn't look like they even tried to make it look 3-D, and the background had a whole bunch of static grain as if it was just a blown-up photograph of a background. That happened a few times, where random close-ups didn't look like they had any 3-D effect at all. I assume they were re-shoots, but no idea what happened with 'em.

I saw CAPTAIN AMERICA in 2-D, so I don't know if this this a function of a 3D movie seen 2-D, but what I noticed was that there was a hyper-real focus situation. EVERYTHING was always in focus, everywhere. I liked it, after a while; it lent an illustrated, shiny feel to the whole thing.

I could see how that could be a byproduct of shooting-for 3-D, and I'm assuming this was shot for as opposed to post-converted.

Nah, that chase through Brooklyn was pretty much a perfect comic book action scene.
No, it was staged very awkwardly. I can't get that grandma with a machine gun out of my mind.

That was not only pre-chase, but also fine.
I would say, though, that it didn't make any sense that Erksine (sp?) would live in Queens but have his secret lab in Brooklyn.

Presented without comment, because I can't find the words.
I'm not actually against MODOK being in a movie, in theory, but I think he'd be pretty out of place in a sequel to 'Captain America'. I could see him as a Fantastic Four villain, but I guess they wouldn't have the rights [apparently, the FF license includes Super Skrull but not the actual Skrulls].
