I don't know if I buy that as true. That seems a bit too outwardly hostile for Murray, who seems passive to his very core. If it is true, though, he's not wrong. Fat old men probably shouldn't be chasing ghosts.

The other thing that stood out to me in that article is that the next STAR TREK villain might be named Gary Mitchell, which is very funny to me. I want to see STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF GARY MITCHELL on a marquee.

I don't think not wanting to do GB3 is a sign of mental illness. In fact, I'd say the opposite is true.

I meant his flip flopping about it in the media. On Stern, saying you should get around to reading it, you probably owe it to Reitman and then sending it back shredded sound like someone with a mental issue.

There is no way he shredded it and sent it back.  The internet is stupid.

But chasing Scarlett Johansen is perfectly acceptable for fat old men.

That's not what happened in the movie.

Can't be.  He would have said that Murray was trying to make ScarJo his "lady".

If they redo the episode, that means that the Enterprise will be travelling through the barrier around the edge of the galaxy.  Which is what they do in Star Trek V.  I hope Chris Pine gets to pose the eternal question, "Why does God need a starship?"

From their list, I really like the idea of Trelane, because he's basically a Q and, oddly, Q somehow never made into the TNG movies.

EDIT: Sorry, we probably have a thread for this.

According to this article, Aykroyd is suggesting the possibility of recasting the role of Venkman. First of all, with who, Chevy Chase? Second of all, fuck you.

Thank God he won't consider making it without Rick Moranis, though.

Just read this again, still maintain this isn't what happened in the movie, and also, was Murray fat?  Because wow I am full-on monstrous if that's the case.

Here's the Empire piece the article above alluded to. Aykroyd also denies that the script-shredding thing ever happened.

So, Jim Belushi should be expecting a call within the next few days, then?
