So neither of you had a problem with a season finale letting everyone off the hook, pushing the reset button for a couple of characters just because it sets up next season interestingly? I agree that some interesting things can happen next season but think Sutter is suspect with not coming up with proper endings to individual seasons (something BREAKING BAD excels at, IMO).

I think what you consider "letting off the hook" I see as a necessary plot point to stop some characters from departing the show. You always knew that Jax's plan wouldn't really happen, but as to why... well, now we know. The only real thing that needs to be settled (realistically) would be Opie's revenge. That's two pills he's had to swallow now and I don't believe the character would not retaliate for the sake of the club this time.
Sorry, but trying to be vague to avoid finale spoilers.

That was a really interesting read, but it was strange the way he threw in an insult on everybody who acts on 'Sons of Anarchy'.

Well, the guy's distraught; his beloved grandmother-figure just got bludgeoned to death by some a-hole.

True enough, but as an actor referring to an entire cast of people he knows nothing about the way that he did seems petty. One guy who USED to be on a show did a really horrendous thing.

I got the impression he was talking about Young Hollywood in general, not the cast of Sons of Anarchy specifically. Not being familiar with the personal lives of the Anarchy cast, I would assume "they came to Hollywood to be famous and party. To get DUIs and pay their anorexia-enabling stylists to mask the ravages of their marionette chains" to be a Lohan / Bynes reference.

It was definitely aimed at actors in general, yeah.

Yeah, I'd buy that. The "these people" is obviously sloppy writing, but as Josh said, in an understandable way. (The anorexia-line seemed strangely out-of-left-field to describe anybody on 'Sons of Anarchy'.)
