http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/spartacus-alum-jai-courtney-lands-coveted-die-hard-lead/

Some dude from the SPARTACUS TV show has been cast as McClane's son. I was really pulling for Aaron Paul to get it, as that would have helped get my interest level up. This is the first DIE HARD movie that I'm really not excited at all about. Nothing about it sounds very enticing.

Maybe Aaron Paul couldn't do it because BREAKING BAD is starting up again sooner rather than later. Silver lining, I hope.

VENGEANCE is on IFC right now. These cable channel names really are meaningless these days.

Yes they are, it's funny to think of Die Hard With A Vengence being a struggling indy film barely able to get made.

You guys didn't know they filmed that movie Borat-style and had Bruce actually driving a cab through Central Park and wearing that posterboard at the beginning?

This isn't really about DIE HARD, specifically, but it's fascinating that Bruce Willis has basically become Elaine's dad on SEINFELD.

I'm going to pull a Derick and preemptively declare this a disaster. This guy is saying all the wrong things.

CARRY ON, DIE HARD would have been an awesome title.

Shouldn't it be Carry On Dying Hard?

It's going with the Homer Simpson assumption that Bruce Willis's character is named Die
Hard.

Is that a Simpson's joke? My dad literally assumed/assumes the same thing. Whenever we're watching it and a terrorist is doing something, he'll say some variation of "Don't worry! Die Hard'll get 'im!"

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in it. More evidence that this is going to be LIVE FREER OR DIE HARDER more than DIE HARD 5. Someone get Bonnie Bedelia on the horn.

I'm onto BREAKING BAD season 3. I'm really disappointed Aaron Paul isn't John Jr.

You and me both. That was the one thing that might have helped cut back my pessimism toward this movie.

I want to point out that the title of the article I linked above just reads "Cameo Revealed for A Good Day to Die Hard" and my mind did the following in the second it took to click on it: "Holly? Al? Zeus? Thornburg? ARGYLE???!? Oh."

You can put "Ode to Joy" over this all you want, that still doesn't make it feel like a DIE HARD trailer. Too big too big too big. I kind of liked the 007 line, though.
