WARNING: Cute kid story to follow.

The other day I'm on the couch with my daughter, and we're watching BATMAN, THE ANIMATED SERIES together. This one was with Two Face, but we had seen one a few days ago where the Joker employed a robotic assistant, so I think that is where she was going with the following question.

She narrowed her eyes and asked me,"Are there real robots in this world?"

"Sure. We have one. Roomba is a real robot. He cleans the floors."

"No. Not vaccuum cleaner robots. Robots with faces."

"Well, yes, there are-- but they mostly make them in Japan."

"Are there robots like Wall-E? Real ones, in this world?"

"Sort of."

"And are there real ones like his girlfriend, Eve?"

"Those, I don't think so. Not yet."

"Well... maybe somebody can give me one of those Wall-E robots, so he can live here with me and I can be his friend. That would be good."

Now, I face a $250 question, don't I?

wow, weird, I had this same exact* conversation about 2 days ago with my son.
